Competition Playing Handicaps: 95%
Annual Membership Fee: €20
Players must contact the organiser and request to play, ideally at least two days before the day of the competition.
Tee times for the Peanuts are limited and the Competitions Secretary often has to prioritise those members that will get a game based on the number of times they have played during the previous twelve months. Members can view the up to date list on Master Scoreboard under the Order of Merit section.

The Payne Stewart Trophy is a prestigious annual title awarded as part of the Flogas Irish Junior Open Tour (formerly the Irish Junior Open). While the tour primarily operates across Ireland and Northern Ireland, venues are deeply integrated into its schedule, with Grand Finals often hosted at iconic Northern Irish locations like Royal Portrush Golf Club. The Payne Stewart Trophy is specifically awarded to the overall standout performer of the Spring Tour. We are delighted to inform all our members that the winner of this trophy for 2026 is our youngest member (16) Brian Heary. Brian played with us nearly every week over the 2025/6 winter season and was a pleasure to be with him in the same fourball – fiercely competitive and excellent etiquette. He has now qualified to play in The Emerald Cup at Port Rush. Our congratulations to Brian on his victory and our best wishes to him for success at Port Rush

PLEASE NOTE LOCAL RULE RELATING TO THE ROCKY AREAS WHICH ARE NOW PART OF THE COURSE.
The Official Guide to the Rules of Golf (R&A/USGA) state that
Golf clubs and committees can adopt local rules when local conditions require special provisions.
This is a wording to cater for the new rocky areas which we are told are considered part of the course.
If your ball is in a rocky area you may take relief for one penalty stroke by using one of the following options:
-
Stroke-and-Distance Relief – Go back to where the previous stroke was made and play again.
-
Back-on-the-Line Relief – Drop a ball as far back as you want on a line going straight back from the hole through the point where the ball last crossed the edge of the rocky area.
-
Lateral Relief – Drop a ball within two club lengths of the point where the ball last crossed the edge of the rocky area, not nearer the hole.
